Jim Adkins, Pastor Counseling & Student Ministeries
Pastor Jim has been intimately involved in ministry since coming to Christ in 1995. He surrendered to God’s call to become a pastor very early in his Christian walk. He was designated a Pastor in Training under Pastor Wayne’s ministry at River City Christian Center. Pastor Jim continued to work for Mayo Clinic in the beginning of his training. He was licensed to Pastoral Ministry in 2004 and became part of the WestGate staff. Upon completion of his degree in Pastoral Counseling and being evaluated according to scripture by the Elders of WestGate he received full ordination in December 2007.
Pastor Jim’s current responsibilities include overseeing several ministries, pastoral counseling and assisting with the day to day operation of the church. Pastor Jim is an outstanding listener and offers much wisdom to those he counsels. He has been on several mission trips since coming to Christ. Pastor Jim has been married to his lovely wife Crystal for over 25 years. They have two children Chelsea and Tripp and his wife Kristen.
